The journey to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) consists of six stages.

1. IOQM – Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics

• Preliminary round of the Olympiad in India.
• Essay presented by the Mathematics Teachers Association (India) under the supervision of HBCSE.
• Assessment of problem-solving skills at the primary level.

2. RMO – Regional Mathematics Olympiad

• Conducted regionally across India.
• Emphasis is placed on second- and third-order thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• RMO is limited to select IOQM students.

3. INMO – Indian National Mathematical Olympiad

• Nationally selected RMO qualifiers are retained.
• Their math questions are difficult and evidence-based.

4. Pre-Departure Camp (PDC)

5. IMO – International Mathematical Olympiad

IMO Result Date 2025-26

The SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2025-26 results will be declared in both Level 1 and Level 2. The official SOF site allows students to check their scores online or they can also check it at their respective schools.

• IMO Level 2 Result Date: March 2026 (Tentative)

The results will include the student's score, rank, and their chances of advancing to the next stage of the Olympiad. Students who pass Level 1 will be able to participate in Level 2, which is open only to students in grades 3 to 12.
